AvtoVAZ resumes Lada Vesta NG serial production in Tolyatti

TOLYATTI, Mar 3 (PRIME) -- AvtoVAZ resumed serial production of the Lada Vesta NG cars on the plant in Tolyatti on Friday.

"AvtoVAZ expects that Lada Vesta of the new generation will arrive to the outlets of more than 300 dealer centers in May 2023 after the necessary stock of fully assembled cars has been accumulated," a representative for the plant said.

The spokesperson did not disclose the price of the new model. According to CEO Maxim Sokolov, the price would grow as compared with that of the cars of the model made in Izhevsk in 2022 because of higher logistics costs.

Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov pledged a restart of output of a new Lada Granta model at the end of 2024. "Production of an upgraded Lada Granta is scheduled for the end of the next year," he said.
